Exchange Policy

Many rotable components, accessories and instruments are available on an exchange basis.

We offer two types of exchange; standard and flat rate.

Standard: This covers the basic overhaul (parts and labour) only. Any parts and labour that fall outside of this will be billed additionally, up to the maximum core liability (stated at the point of quotation). If your core unit turns out to be BER or does not arrive at all, then you will be billed for the maximum core liability.

Flat Rate: This covers the basic overhaul PLUS any additional parts requiring replacement due to ‘fair wear and tear’. Any exclusions will be stated at the point of quotation. As with a standard exchange, if your core unit turns out to be BER or does not arrive at all, the maximum core liability will apply.

Terms

Your core unit under either type of exchange must be “as removed from aircraft”, fully complete and assembled.

Helispares Ltd reserves the right to reject any core unit that has been damaged from abnormal causes such as, but not limited to, fire, crash, submersion, cannibalisation, excessive corrosion, poor handling or previous repairs.

Core units must be accompanied by a removal tag displaying component details, life status and nature of defect or reason for removal. Where relevant, historical service records or log cards showing adequate history must be furnished.

The core unit must be returned within 21 days of your receipt of the supplied component unless agreed otherwise. A fee of 4% of core liability / deposit per week or part thereof may be applied to unauthorised late core returns.

Core units must be shipped prepaid of all shipping and export charges.

Non-account customers will be required to prepay the exchange price PLUS a core deposit (stated at the point of quotation) prior to delivery of the exchange component. The core deposit will be refunded, less any supplementary charges incurred.
